How to find Wi-Fi passwords in Settings
Your iPhone automatically connects to any Wi-Fi network you’ve previously logged into, which is helpful. But to see the Wi-Fi password, you’ll need to take a few more steps. If you have iOS 16 or later, you can use your passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID to see your Wi-Fi network passwords. Here’s what to do:
Find your current Wi-Fi password
- Open Settings, then tap Wi-Fi.
- Find the Wi-Fi network name you’re currently using.
- Tap info (an “i” inside a circle).
- Tap the Password field.
- Use your device password, Face ID, or Touch ID to unlock and reveal the password.
Find passwords for previously connected networks
Open Settings.
- Tap Wi-Fi, then tap Edit in the upper-right corner to see saved Wi-Fi networks your device previously joined.
- Select a network with a lock, then tap the Password field.
- Use your device password, Face ID, or Touch ID to unlock and reveal the password.

Use the iCloud Keychain to see your Wi-Fi passwords
Still wondering, what’s my Wi-Fi password? The iCloud Keychain stores your Wi-Fi passwords and syncs them across all your Apple devices. To see your Wi-Fi passwords in the iCloud Keychain, you’ll need to use your iPhone and a Mac®:
- On your iPhone, open Settings> [your name] > iCloud > Passwords and Keychain and turn on iCloud Keychain.
- Then, on your Mac, open Applications > Utilities > Keychain Access.
- In the Keychain Access window, type the name of your Wi-Fi network in the top right search bar and double-click it.
- Check the box for Show password. You may need to enter your Mac password.
How to find the current Wi-Fi password for your Personal Hotspot
