How to find and view Wi-Fi passwords on Android

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi and select your connected network.
  3. Tap Share to display a QR code—your password will be shown below it.

Find your current Wi-Fi password on non-Samsung devices

  1. Open Settings (gear icon).
  2. Tap Network & Internet, then select Internet.
  3. Tap the gear icon next to your connected Wi-Fi network.
  4. Tap Share. A QR code will appear with your network credentials—the password is listed below the code.

Find saved Wi-Fi passwords on non-Samsung devices

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Network & Internet > Internet > Saved Networks.
  3. Select the gear icon next to the Wi-Fi network you want.
  4. Tap Share. A QR code and password will appear on screen.

Find your current Wi-Fi password on Samsung devices

On Samsung devices, you’ll need to use a QR code and Google Photos™ to reveal the password.

  1. Open Settings > Connections.
  2. Select Wi-Fi.
  3. Tap the gear icon next to your connected Wi-Fi network.
  4. Tap QR code at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Tap Quick Share to share the code with another device without typing the password.
  6. To view the password:
    • Tap Save as Image.
    • Open Google Photos, find the saved QR code in your Pictures folder.
    • Tap Lens at the bottom to scan the image.
    • An information card will display your network name and password.
