How to get rid of AI on Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat

You can’t completely remove Meta AI® on Facebook® and Instagram®, but you can mute the chatbot so it no longer interrupts your experience. On Snapchat®, you can remove or restrict My AI with a Snapchat+ membership—or limit its access if you use the free version.

1. On Facebook or Instagram, tap the blue-gradient circle > arrow > “i” icon > Mute. Choose a duration or select Until I change it.
2. On Snapchat+, press and hold My AI in Chat > Chat Settings > Clear from Chat Feed.
3. On free Snapchat accounts, block My AI from your Stories and clear saved data.

How to turn off Meta AI on Facebook app

1. Hold My AI in Chat.
2. Tap Chat Settings > Clear from Chat Feed.

If you have the free version:

• To block My AI from your Stories:
  1. Open the Snapchat app and go to the Chats tab.
  2. Press and hold My AI.
  3. Tap Privacy Settings > Turn off My Story.
• To delete data saved by My AI:
  1. Open the Snapchat app.
  2. Tap your profile icon.
  3. Go to Privacy Controls > Clear Data > Clear My AI Data.
