Turning off the Nest Thermostat using the app

This method allows you to control your Thermostat from anywhere, ensuring that you can switch it off even when you're not at home.

1. Open the Nest app on your smartphone or tablet.
2. Tap the Thermostat you want to turn off. Then tap Mode > Off.

Turning off the Nest Thermostat the manual way

Turning off your Nest Thermostat manually is straightforward and does not require the use of your smartphone, making it convenient for quick adjustments.

1. Go to your Nest Thermostat, and press the display to bring up the main menu.
2. Use the ring to navigate to Thermostat and press it. Turn the ring to Off and press it.

Some Nest thermostat models will have you press and hold the screen until “Turn off” appears, then slide the touch bar to highlight and select Turn Off.
