Whether you're worried about cracked screens, stolen phones, or mechanical issues, this plan has you covered. It’s administered by Asurion, a global leader in device protection, and offers a bundle of benefits.

What’s included with AT&T Protect Advantage?

The plan includes a mix of insurance, service contract, and tech support. Depending on the plan you choose—Protect Advantage for 1 or Protect Advantage for 4—you’ll get:

  • Coverage for loss, theft, damage, and post-warranty malfunctions
  • As soon as same-day device replacement
  • Unlimited screen repairs for eligible devices
  • Unlimited battery replacements
  • Tech support for your device

Monthly cost

Protect Advantage for 1: $14 or $17/month, depending on your device

Protect Advantage for 4: $50/month, covers up to 4 eligibledevices

Deductibles and service fees

  • A non-refundable deductible or service fee applies per approved claim
  • Replacements: $25, $100, $225, or $275, depending on your device
  • Non-connected tablets (Protect Advantage for 4 only): $199
  • Repairs: $0 service fee for eligible devices

Claim limits

  • An unlimited number of approved claims
  • Up to $3,500 per approved claim

Cancellation

  • Plan renews monthly until canceled
  • Cancel anytime with no penalty and receive a prorated refund

Replacement devices

  • Your replacement may be new, refurbished, or remanufactured
  • It may include original or non-original replacement parts

Coverage details

If you drop your phone and crack the screen, AT&T Protect Advantage can cover it. It may also cover it if it stops working due to a mechanical issue after the manufacturer’s warranty expires. And if you lose your phone on the subway, you’re still good.

Repair and replacement services

If your phone is damaged, after your claim is approved, you can often get a replacement or have it repaired the same day. That’s because Asurion and AT&T make the process fast and easy. Sometimes, you can even get a new device delivered to your doorstep within hours. For approved claims for cracked screens or battery malfunctions, you can schedule an appointment at a uBreakiFix® by Asurion store for repairs done by Asurion-certified techs.

The cost depends on which plan you choose and, in some cases, the type of device you’re protecting.

Each approved repair or replacement claim comes with a deductible or service fee, which varies by device and type of claim. For example, screen repairs can have a service fee of $0 for eligible devices.

Can I cancel AT&T Protect Advantage at any time?

You can cancel anytime by accessing your AT&T account online or contacting customer service. You will receive a refund of any unearned monthly charges, and there is no cancellation fee. Please note that once canceled, you may be unable to re-enroll in AT&T Protect Advantage until another eligibility event occurs.

How do I file a claim through AT&T Asurion?

You can file a claim online or call Asurion’s customer support. Make sure to have your device information and a description of the issue ready.

Protect Advantage for 1 or 4 is a combination of Protect Insurance for 1 or 4, Protect Service Contract for 1 or 4, and ProTech for 1 or 4. Protect Insurance for 1 or 4 are underwritten by Continental Casualty Company, a CNA Company (CNA), Chicago, IL, and administered by Asurion Protection Services, LLC (In Iowa, Lic. #1001002300; in California, Asurion Protection Services Insurance Agency, LLC, CA Lic. #OD63161; and in Puerto Rico, Asurion Protection Services of Puerto Rico, Inc.), a licensed agent of CNA. Protect Service Contract for 1 or 4 are provided by Asurion Warranty Protection Services, LLC, or one of its affiliates.
