Remove your iPhone or iPad from Find My™ at iCloud.com
If your iPhone or iPad is usable or you have it with you, you must turn off Find My iPhone or iPad in Settings.
- Go to icloud.com/find on your phone or another device, then sign in to your Apple Account (if necessary).
- Select the device you are claiming under All Devices on the left of the screen
- Click Remove This Device.
- One of the following happens:
- If the device is online, it can’t be fully removed, but you can prepare it for Repair or trade-in. Click Continue and follow on-screen instructions to mark as "Ready for Repair or Trade In for the next 30 days".
- If the device is offline, Activation Lock is removed immediately, and the device is removed from Find My after 30 days.
Turn off Find My Watch in Settings from your iPhone
If your Watch is usable, turn off Find My Watch on your paired iPhone.
Instructions from your paired iPhone:
- In a web browser, go to icloud.com/find/
- Sign in with your Apple ID. If prompted, follow the on-screen instructions for Two-Factor Authentication.
- Click All Devices at the top of the screen and choose your watch from the list.
- Click Erase Apple Watch.
- Click Next until the device is erased. You do not need to enter a phone number and message. You do not need to enter anything here. This will erase your content, but you can restore a backup after we’ve repaired or replaced your Watch.
- Tap Unpair Apple Watch. For cellular models of Apple Watch, tap Remove {Carrier} Plan.
- Finally, click Remove button next to your Apple Watch.
